Sydney Metro says Sydenham to Bankstown WON’T improve trains

Shutting down the Bankstown Line – forcing commuters onto buses, removing direct City trains for 9 stations (west of Bankstown) and rebuilding 11 fully operational stations is all for nothing.

Transport for NSW has admitted the Sydenham to Bankstown section of the Sydney Metro will NOT improve the reliability of train services.

April 2017: Sydney Metro City & Southwest is fully segregated from the existing Sydney Trains railway tracks between Sydenham and Bankstown, improving the reliability of services.
