Liverpool City Council endorses restoring Inner West Line – Liverpool via Regents Park

Thank you to Liverpool City Council for joining the fight to restore our Inner West Line trains from City to Liverpool via Regents Park. By adopting Councillor Nathan Hagarty’s motion on 26 February 2020, South West Sydney commuters are now in a stronger position to have express trains returned to Liverpool.

The T2 Inner West Line’s City to Liverpool via Regents Park train service was unfairly removed by the NSW Government in October 2013

This was followed by the removal of all genuine express services with the Leppington Line via Granville no longer running fast trains to the City Circle in 2017

The express train was replaced by the City to Liverpool via T3 Bankstown Line which will be cancelled in 2024 due to the Sydney Metro Southwest from Sydenham to Bankstown

Liverpool to City via Regents Park is the shortest route by distance compared with via Granville and via Bankstown

Restoring the City to Liverpool via Regents Park train service will improve connections for South West Sydney commuters

Liverpool City Council joins Strathfield Council, Auburn City Council/Cumberland Council, and Canterbury-Bankstown Council in having passed a motion supporting the restoration of the Inner West Line (City to Liverpool via Regents Park) train service
