NSW Government Ignores Parliamentary Inquiry Recommendations

Sydenham to Bankstown will be removed from the Sydney Trains Network with stations west of Bankstown still awaiting direct services to City Circle, Inner West, and Liverpool.

The NSW Government has released its response to the Legislative Council Inquiry into the Sydenham to Bankstown line conversion but has not adopted the recommendation to restore the direct train to the City via Lidcombe.

Transport for NSW has indicated that restoration of direct services on the former Inner West Line (Liverpool via Regents Park) is achievable using currently available infrastructure, hence why we believe that our trains should be brought back now.

Sydney Metro City & Southwest’s full business case also remains top secret and unavailable for scrutiny despite a major budget blowout in the project.

We will continue to be advocating for train services to City Circle, Inner West, and Liverpool for all current T3 Bankstown Line stations.

Thank you for your support.
