Cumberland Council supports direct trains to City Circle, Liverpool, and Bankstown in NSW Future Transport Strategy

Item No: C03/24-490 NOTICE OF MOTION – RESTORATION OF THE T2 LIVERPOOL TO CITY CIRCLE VIA REGENTS PARK SERVICE

Thank you to Cumberland City Council Councillor Sabrin Farooqui and Councillor Kun Huang for the resolution to “restore T2 Liverpool to City Circle (former Inner West Line) as a permanent service” in response to community concerns that Transport for NSW is planning to AGAIN REMOVE the direct train in 2030 (after the restoration of the direct train in late 2024).

“Is it desirable to retain re-introduced T2 services direct to the Harbour CBD in the 2030s?” – Transport for NSW (trying to remove our train services again).
