Cumberland Council endorses restoring the Inner West Line

The Restore Inner West Line & Save T3 Bankstown Line community action group thanks Cumberland Council for supporting the Sydney Trains Network

We are grateful for the unanimous support from Councillors for restoring the Inner West Line’s City to Liverpool (& Bankstown) via Regents Park train service

Having “restore Inner West Line” included in the Cumberland 2030: Local Strategic Planning Statement addresses an essential transport need for the Cumberland community especially for Berala, Regents Park and Chester Hill

The motion passed to include restoring the train services is also a rebuke of the State Government’s plans to close stations west of Bankstown after the opening of Metro Southwest (between Sydenham and Bankstown)

Restoring the Inner West Line also provides opportunity for the return of express trains at Lidcombe, Auburn, Granville
